A Day Trip to Heusden

Alicia and Jeano joined us in the morning and we all went for a drive to Heusden, a old fortified town.  John and I had visited Heusden previously, and it really is beautiful.

We walked around the old town, taking in the beautiful old houses, the cobbled streets, old windmills and boats.  The weather was cold, but not rainy, so we were lucky.   We had a really lovely time.

In the evening Robin and Vince, fresh from their holiday in Curacao, joined the rest of us for dinner.  We had a really lovely evening together.  Today was the first game for Holland in the European Cup, so it was important for us to be home on time and watching TV.  Unfortunately, the result was dissappointing for you if you are dutch!!

An early night is in order to prepare for our journey to France tomorrow.
